Question : Mailman, the GNU Mailing List Manager - is there an interface to programmatically maintain email addrs?

We have a (custom) database (mysql/php) of "Member Profiles" which includes each member's email address.
Does an interface exist to add/delete addresses from a Mailman  distribution list?

Mailman comes with a script "add_members" that can be used to do that.
