Question : Windows firewall will not start
Rebooted my pc today. Upon restat, the MS security center went red, telling me there is no firewall enabled. I tried to turn it on, the service failed to start. I applied the regisrty 'fixes', still will not start. Went to services to try to start it from there, it tells me Windows cannot find the file (path is supposed to be C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchos
t.exe -k netsvcs, I checked a file is there). I ran MS OneCare Firewall Repair tool, it tells me it cannot find the firewall engine MSI. I re-ran SP3 too.
I have been getting repeated attacks that NAV2010 has repealed (Access attempts and intrusions)
