Question : Get signal strength from USB Mobile Dongle (ZTE MF112)
I would like to retrieve the signal strength of a mobile dongle attached to my PC. The device I am using is a ZTE MF112 on 3 network. It does come packaged with a connection manager that shows me the signal strength but I'd like to be able to get this information from my program so I can log it/act on it etc. The platform is Windows XP. Is there anything in Windows that gives me this information. Or is there a DLL I can use. Perhaps I will need to look at SDK from manufacturer.
Any help would be great.
Answer : Get signal strength from USB Mobile Dongle (ZTE MF112)
I found out that the ZTE MF112 presents itself to Windows as a standard modem and that I can use the AT+CSQ command to find the signal strength.
Thanks anyway
