Question : Word 2010 Styles / Paragraph Issues
Have a hard time here with indenting and the automatic effect it has on changing styles in Word.
I have a 1pg doc with
title
1
A
B
C
II
A .... and so on
The problem I am having is when I originally copy/pasted this from Outlook Email. It took the Title and put everything else on PG 2 - leaving the majority of PG1 blank.
I then tried to change the Paragraph settings for the layout I wanted. I would delete back up to the line below the Title, select all and try to apply the correct paragraph and it keeps pushing all the data below the Title to the second page. And I see the Style changes on its own. Screwing everything up.
Any insight on this? I fixed it by removing all the letters/roman numerals, set the paragraphs with Tab and then select all and applied the indent headings.
I also notice when using the navigation pane that the Title would never show up so I could not promote or demote to help adjust the indent labels.
Thanks in advance - SJMP
Answer : Word 2010 Styles / Paragraph Issues
Select the offending text and hit CTRL+SHIFT+N to apply the Normal Style to the text. Then you can format it as you please.
