Question : SQL Server 2005 - cannot log in to my "local" SQL Server
I am unable to connect to my "local" SQL Server. When I try to connect, I get the following error message:
a network related or instance specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
I have started working more recently with PHP and MySQL, so I haven't worked on anything in SQL Server for many months. However, I have not changed anything on my PC. Why, suddenly, would it stop working? I can connect to any remote sites - just not my PC.
Do I need to reinstall and reconfigure SQL Server? I hope this isn't the case...
