Question : Cannot boot into Windows 7 partition (Blinking cursor) after using Acronis Disk Director resize

Hi guys I currently have a dual boot setup with Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows 7 64 bit. The bootloader in use is GRUB. I wanted to increase the size of my Ubuntu partition so I defragmened and then used Acronis Disk Director to create some free space for Ubuntu. After completion it asked to do a reboot which I did. In grub i selected windows 7 and it ran the Acronis pre-boot tasks and finally ended on a blinking cursor. Numerous attempts to reboot it brings it back to that blinking cursor. I do not see the windows logo nor can I boot into safe mode. When I try to load ubuntu, I cannot mount the NTFS partition and therefore cannot access the C drive. Also, when I try to load the windows 7 disk to run the startup repair, it cannot detect the operating system and so I cannot run chkdsk. Is there anyone that can help me?

I really do not want to format my partition

When you ran the Connect to Email and Internet Connection Wizard (CEICW) and got to the firewall section, you needed to specify Remote Desktop as well as OWA and Remote Web Workplace.  Do they work?
