Question : OUTLOOK 2007 no INDEX to search ON

Using Outlook 2007 on Windows 7. User install has no index,
as normal the users INBOX is normally in the Instant Search Index
I am unable to add his INBOX into his "instant search".
How to I add this ? I ahve gone to Toot, Search Options to try
and add his inbox  but to no avail.
Any ideas as to how I do this ?
