Question : Dell 6410 no video when attached to docking station
I just got a Dell Latitude 6410. I am running Win 7. The display on the laptop LCD works fine. But if I put it in the docking station I can not get video via the DVI interface and I've tried both interfaces. The mouse and the keyboard work fine when docked. But I'm having to work off the laptop's LCD for now. I also tried Fn-F8 with the laptop screen open to see if it would project to both thh laptop and the dock-attached monitor but that does not work either. The video card is nVidia. WHen I enter the nVidia display settings it does not seem to be aware of the external monitor.
Answer : Dell 6410 no video when attached to docking station
I would remove the old drivers and install new ones for Video, chipset and anything else relevant.
apparently the hardware is different enough to cause issues.
also check the device manger
I hope this helps !
