Question : What do ASP.NET web forms and REST have in common?

I am new to ASP.NET and am trying to get a broad understanding before digging to deeply into the syntax of controls, events, etc.

So I am wondering how REST is representerd in ASP.NET?

I have heard about RESTful websites, but wonder what these are.
