Question : MOSS 2007 SSL Setup on existing Application

We are trying to allow web access for our SharePoint and I have question to you all EE SharePoint Gurus.

This is how our MOSS 2007 is set upped:

Port 80 for machine name access (http://SharePoint) - Intranet
Poart 8080 for central admin
Port 100 for SSP admin
Port 101 for MySite

I was going to follow the instruction I found on

http://mattbeaver2002.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!801AB4157DF28FDA!14463.entry

then I started to run into some confusion.

1. Do I just use port 80, default site?  Don't I have to create new IIS site for port 443???

2. I extended web application for extranet for port 443, but I can run 443 from IIS.  it's stopped and when I try to start, it says 'Another Web site is maybe using this'. What am I supposed to do for this?

Thanks in advance sirs!

Answer : MOSS 2007 SSL Setup on existing Application

Stop the default site since your using port 80 for your http://sharepoint site.

Since you have created 443 by extending port 80, right click n see if any other site is trying to use same ssl port 443 and tcp port 80. You can change tcp port to 81 and try to start. It should start.

This might due to tcp port conflict.
