Question : How to install Mac OS 10.6.2 on a Power Mac G4
This is my first Power Mac G4 that I was given to fix, being my first time with a Mac I dont know where to start to install a new OS. I have the Mac OS X DVD. I tried to look at the content on the disc from the Mac but the DVD keeps popping out, I am guessing that the Rom that is in the G4 is a CD-Rom and not DVD-Rom. so I put the disc in my Win 7 machine to look at the content and I see a folder called DVDCDSharingSetup and then within this folder there is a file called RemoteInstallMacOSX I ran the DVDCDSharingSetup and then I run the RemoteInstallMacOSX. it tells me to pick between AirPort or Ethernet, so I choose Ethernet because that is how they are setup. then it tells me to restart the mac but hold down the ALT button on the Mac and I should see the list of installs available. However I dont see that it just shows the Mac HD and thats it. is there something that I am doing wrong. is there another way I can install the OS, maybe by a USB stick? and what would I have to do?
Answer : How to install Mac OS 10.6.2 on a Power Mac G4
I guess it should be minus 45:
WHERE providerID IN ( 'A000000015210B','A0000000
03731B' )
AND Input_Date < DATEADD(day, -45, Received_Date)
or
WHERE providerID IN ( 'A000000015210B','A0000000
03731B' )
AND Received_Date > DATEADD(day, 45, Input_Date)
