I have a situation where I need to know if the scan for hardware changes feature of device manager is running or not. If it is running, I would like to know when it has finished. Is there a way from say a VBScript to detect if the device manager is running or not and if running, know when it has finished? We have some scripts which are run at startup time which setup the lan configurations. However, if our image has been installed in a new machine, then the device rescan and setting up the devices at startup interfere with each other. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
