Question : dead pc motherboard or cpu
This morning my pc was dead. Power is on, the light on the (ASUS) mother board is on which suggests it has power. None of the fans are running, or hdds spinning and the machine does not POST. Is there anyway of telling whether this is a mobo problem or a CPU problem. Suspect it is mobo but would welcome an expert opinion or two
Answer : dead pc motherboard or cpu
Just because the motherboard lights are no dose not mean that the power is fine.
I would subject testing with a different PSU
