Question : Are there any websites which provide free standardized video and audio streams to use for testing?

I want to test my laptop's performance in playing streaming audio and video (especially video).  I'm looking for a website that provides test video and audio for easy comparisons of streaming playback performance.  This is similar to those test CD's and DVD's that you can buy for testing audio/video performance of a home theater.  I could just use youtube or some other website with video, but I'd like something more dedicated to this purpose.  Then I can play around with different scenarios on my laptop to try and maximize the performance.

Hi Tim86

Run the tweak test to find if there is any necessary parameter to tweak about your internet streaming bandwith.

To check the video playback performance, try to play a very high resolution streaming content and check your cpu usage using task manager.

So try to change a few things, like disable aero or closing some programs!~

Good luck!
