Question : VMware Workstation 7.1 Won't Install

VMware workstation 7.1 wont install?   everytime i try to install it i get this error file:///C:/Users/xxx/AppData/Local
 /Temp/vmware_1279686725/index.htm?lang
 it says scripts stopped running do you want to continue? i tried both yes and no. It obviously uses IE to use active x controls that's why it wont work. i dont use IE but i went into the options and allowed everything( i went into internet options and make a custom level and alowed all active xcontrols ..and even restarted computer). I stil get the error. This is annoying me. It's only the trial but i cant even get to use this to see if i like it or not. Even on the vmware forums someone had the same problem and it's unanswered. I tried google and cant find the solution.
 
 I use windows 7 32 bit. I ran the install as administrator and even tried running it in xp mode.
