Question : Microsoft Outlook 2010 Error

I recently installed Microsoft Office 2010 - even though Outlook 2010 is set as the default email client, each time I boot/restart my computer, I get an error message stating "Microsoft Office Outlook: Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."

I have tried the registry edit here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813745 and tried reinstalling office, but keep getting the same message. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and the 64 bit version of Office 2010.

What needs to be done so that I no longer receive the error message?

Answer : Microsoft Outlook 2010 Error

I would recommend searching for any residual files from your previous version of Office.

1) Uninstall Office 2010
2)-  Use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to clear any traces of old Office versions (XP, 2000 and 2003).

- For Office 2007, mydigitallife.info created a great app that clean Office 2007 for you:

3) Now you should have a totally Office free Windows OS.
4) Reinstall Office 2010 and keep us posted!

Cheers!
