Question : Netback cleint installation on Server 2008 R2

Hi All,

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here. We are running Netbackup 6, clients are installed with mp4. We now need to set up some policies on Server 2008 R2 64 bit machines. Now the Client installs are not compatible, and It does not install at all advising that the 32 bit client cannot be installed on the 64 bit machine. what I'd like to know is:

1) Is there another client install file (for netbackup 6.0) for Server 2008 64 bit machines ( I thought they were able to have been installed on both architectures)

2)All the compatibilty information posted by Symatec indicate that we need to install client version 6.5.  Has anyone installed the 6.5 client and pointed it to a master server that has Netbackup 6.0 installed. can this work?

Ensure that all NetBackup servers have a release level that is at least equal to the latest version that is installed on the clients. Earlier versions of server software can encounter problems with later versions of client software. This is what Symantec recomonds.
