Question : Password Protect Back End of an Access Database
My question is twofold.
One - I need the exact steps to perform to password protect the back end of an Access database. I've attempted it before and screwed it up, so I need to know the procedure step by step.
Two - currently I have the back end of my database on a server drive. I connect to it through an Access front end interface on my local computer. Will password protecting the back end cause the existing link to be broken? Will I have to re-link the interface to the back end once I password protect the back end?

open db in exclusive mode.
tools > security > set database password
two.. it is just like locking a door, you will need the key to open it.
