Question : Alcatel: Splitting a digital line into two extensions

I have an OmniPCX management console managing an Alcatel telephone system and need to split a digital line into two extensions.  Does anyone know how to do this?  I have the splitter box but don’t understand how I configure the software to set up the new extension.

Digital phones use a proprietary signalling method that links the port to a phone with a specific one-to-one relationship.  The port can not have two different extensions and phones associated to it -- each telephone needs its own extension.   You can split a station wiring run into two separate phones, but you will need to wire one pair of the station cable to "Port 1" and a second wire pair to "Port 2".
