Question : no previous versions in windows 7 on a windows 2003 SBS
Hello,
while I can access the previous versions of a volume-shadow-copy enabled 2003 server with an xp prof. client, I can't access them with a win 7 client. I already tried with fresh xp and 7 installs in a vmware to reproduce the problem with same results. Access with XP works while no previous versions files are displayed on the 7 client in the same network folder. The tab itself apperas, but the file list is empty. Both (XP and 7) are correctly part of the domain.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Robert
Answer : no previous versions in windows 7 on a windows 2003 SBS
On the SBS2003 server, use the registry editor and go to:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControl
Set\Servic
es\lanmans
erver\Para
meters
and delete the DisableDownLevelTimewarp key.
Do backup your registry before attempting this.
