Question : no previous versions in windows 7 on a windows 2003 SBS
Hello,
while I can access the previous versions of a volume-shadow-copy enabled 2003 server with an xp prof. client, I can't access them with a win 7 client. I already tried with fresh xp and 7 installs in a vmware to reproduce the problem with same results. Access with XP works while no previous versions files are displayed on the 7 client in the same network folder. The tab itself apperas, but the file list is empty. Both (XP and 7) are correctly part of the domain.

Answer : no previous versions in windows 7 on a windows 2003 SBS
On the SBS2003 server, use the registry editor and go to:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControl
Set\Servic
es\lanmans
erver\Para
meters
and delete the DisableDownLevelTimewarp key.
Do backup your registry before attempting this.
