Question : CMD utility to show shared network printers - Windows Server 2003
Hello, we need to know if such a command exists that can be run from an XP workstation that will make a 2003 server show the printers that are sharing on the server in a GUI window. We found this command:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /N,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A
2D8-08002B
30309D}\::
{21EC2020-
3AEA-1069-
A2DD-08002
B30309D}\:
:{2227A280
-3AEA-1069
-A2DE-0800
2B30309D}
It is designed to show local printers on an XP machine though. We need the command to run on the PC and make the PC get the shared printers from the server, and show them in a GUI window so the users can right click the printer of their choice and choose Connect. Hopefully this can be done without allowing more rights or permissions from the server.
Thanks,
Mike
