Question : How can I connect to sql DB from another vlan?

I want to connect to sql data base..the sql server in different vlan. i created udl file to test the connection from the same vlan..its succesfuly connected..but in another vlan failed to connect..


what i need to connect..is it port to open..or anything else...and which port.

Hi

1. If the telnet wont work its mean you got a network problem (you need to config the switch)
2. If the telnet will work please try again the ODBC connection but in the DB SERVER name
    please write    XXX.XXX.XXX.XX,1433  (with the DB IP)
