Question : MYSql Beginners. Backup of a database stored in localhost

Hi Experts!

I am have a programm in VB.Net that works with a database from mysql. This is the very first time that I use MySql.

The database is stored in localhost, which means that it is stored in my Hard drive. I need to share this application with somebody else and, of couse, I need to give him a backup or a copy of my database.

How can I do so?

I must say that I do know my password but I`m not quite sure if I remenber my username.

Somebody that can help me?

First If you are not using MySQL GUI Tools, then download them and install it.
After Installing them, You will have MySQL Administrator, login into it and there you will see the backup option, take a backup of your database, its not typical. you can send that backup file to your other team mate, he/she will not need your password.
