Question : How do I test the speed of my network?

I just setup a new home router that is 300Mbps. 802.11n. How can I test the speed of my network? Is there a free utility for this? I know how to test my Internet speed but I want to test the speed just within my network between devices.

At the menu bar, go to Plugin and select AIDA32 Network Benchmark. This network benchmark plugin is designed to measure the performance of TCP/IP networks using the classic HTTP protocol in a master-slave architecture between 2 computers.
