Question : Stupid mistake of Installing UBUNTU - Now "GRUB: No Such Disk"

I made the mistake of thinking linux is ready for the non PhD user. I had a desktop machine Win7/Ultimate on it. 150Gig of free space. So I thought why not.

Installed Ubuntu 10.6 LTS 32-bit. - Installation was working fine, as Ubuntu mentions..

First reboot..... Instead of getting my boot menu. I get: "Grub: No Such Disk"  with the world's stupidest and impotent command prompt.

My choices are re-installing Windows, losing all my programs and configuration, and thank Ubuntu...
or maybe do something - this is where I come to you on my knees begging for some weird script or a 1,000,000 characters command with lots of %,|,!,$@%#^#^ that would perform a miracle.

What do I do?

Answer : Stupid mistake of Installing UBUNTU - Now "GRUB: No Such Disk"

Well you have some options..

First off do you want to try to recover both operating systems or do you want to just go back to windows?

Just go back to windows:

You can just boot into repair / recovery mode from your windows CD and fix your MBR (Master Boot Record).
